Why join IT4BI ?

The IT4BI consortium wishes to develop cooperation with visiting scholars working in higher education institutions from all over the world, and therefore to offer them to get experience in the European Union. The sholarship granted to scholars selected by the IT4BI consortium is € 1 200 / week for a minimum duration of 2 weeks and a maximum duration of 3 months per scholar. The scholarship is meant to contribute to travel cost and allowance.

Visiting scholar benefiting from an Erasmus Mundus scholarship must:

  • spend between two weeks and three months in at least one of the IT4BI partner institutions;
  • commit him-/herself to participate in the masters programme and perform teaching/research activities at the host institution;
  • bring added value to the delivery of the Master's programme;
  • contribute to the promotion and dissemination of the Erasmus Mundus programme and the IT4BI programme when he/she goes back to him/her home country.

Every scholar taking part in the Master's programme is entitled to:

  • be treated by the consortium in the same way as home staff, irrespective of gender, ethnic background, religion or other belief, sexual orientation, or disability;
  • be considered as an equal partner in the Master's programme;
  • appeal against any act he/she would consider as discriminatory.

The Scholar will get all information allowing him/her to carry out the proposed activities. He/she will have at his/her disposal all useful material and academic resources. He/she will benefit from administrative support.

All scholars have the right to:

  • take an active part in the running of the Master's programme by being involved in decision-making bodies and course evaluation;
  • organize themselves in legally recognized entities.

Every scholar has the right to privacy and to protection of individual information; the consortium commits itself to deal with all personal data appropriately – in a secure and confidential way – and to respect email privacy.
